McMillans listed in RACV's 'Top 101 places to say in Victoria'
October 2009

McMillans of Metung Resort has been listed in the RACV’s ‘Top 101 Best Places To Stay in Victoria’. The competition ran for several months on the back of a promotional campaign that asked Victorians to list their favourite accommodation and why, and concluded in early October.

By the end of the competition, McMillans had received 52 glowing comments from guests, which included the following contributions:

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at McMillian’s of Metung – loved the views, the wildlife and the location in general. Great holiday for young families – Metung is a very friendly town. We were made to feel very welcome, enjoyed a hit of tennis, scenic walks, some boating on the lake and fantastic food at the Metung Galley. We’ll definitely be back!”

Resident host Sandra Prout said the result was highly meaningful for the business because the competition was based on the feedback of past guests.

“It was so exciting to be a part of this competition because it puts in perspective where McMillans sits amongst the thousands of accommodation options that people have in Victoria, and to finish No.62 is an honour,” says Sandra. “It’s the kind of feedback that tells us that the experience we’re offering is something our guests really appreciate.”

McMillans of Metung was one of two Metung properties to make the top 101, the other being the neighbouring ‘Edgewater’ property.

“Judging from the feedback, our guests love the general atmosphere of the resort and the many activity options they have at McMillans. Our aim is to continue enhancing that experience wherever we can,” she says.
